I’m a gin girl, through and through. And when it’s paired with the right ingredients, it becomes pure magic. So when I tried this recipe for a Spring Blossom (which I’ve renamed to Summer Blossom), I knew I had found my perfect summer cocktail. Now, I’m a little obsessed.
The combination of the gin’s botanical notes, the sweet and fruity cherry brandy, and the effervescent sparkling lemonade is absolutely exquisite. Served in a coup glass and garnished with a cherry or a delicate flower, it’s like summertime in a glass.
Mocktail Instead? For those who prefer a non-alcoholic version, simply swap the gin and kirsch for a splash of your favorite tonic and cherry syrup. You can also play around with different flavors—try adding a hint of elderflower syrup or a dash of grenadine for a unique twist. You can also experiment with different garnishes, like a sprig of mint or a slice of citrus, to give it your own personal twist.
Ladies, this cocktail is a must-try this summer. It’s both sophisticated and fun. And will bring a smile to your face with every sip. Ideal for a garden party, dock-tails, bridal party or relaxing on the porch, this pretty pink cocktail is perfection in a glass.
Ingredients:
- 1 oz Gin (Hendrick’s or Tanqueray are my favorites for this recipe)

- 1 oz sparkling lemonade (or if you prefer less sweet, like me – 1/2 oz lemonade and 1/2 oz sparkling water)
- Cherry blossom (or other edible white or pink flower)
Preparation:
- Combine gin, kirsch, and lemon juice over ice in a shaker and shake, shake, shake!
- Pour in a coup glass
- Add sparkling lemonade (or lemonade/sparkling water mix)
- Garnish with a cherry blossom
- Enjoy!
So, mix one up, sit back, and say cheers to the perfect summer drink!
